Varieties of Bibigo dumplings and Cau Tre spring rolls sold at Asian grocery stores recalled

Several varieties of dumplings and spring rolls sold at Asian grocery stores in multiple states have been recalled due to the presence of an undeclared allergen.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) is issuing a recall for some of the Bibigo dumplings and Cau Tre spring rolls manufactured by CJ Nutracon Pty Ltd.

The impacted products include:

  • Bibigo Mini Mandu Prawn Dumpling 360g (best before 14/06/2024)
  • Bibigo Mini Mandu Prawn Dumpling 350g (best before 14/06/2024)
  • Cau Tre Spring Roll 500g (best before 20/04/2024, 21/04/2024, 18/08/2024, 19/08/2024, 20/10/2024, 22/10/2024, 15/06/2025, 07/09/2025 and 08/09/2025
  • Cau Tre Spring Roll 480g (best before 21/04/2024, 19/08/2024, 22/10/2024, 15/06/2025 and 07/09/2025)

The products have been sold at asian grocery stores in NSW, ACT and QLD.

The food safety regulator said the recall is due to the products containing egg which has not been declared on its packaging.

“Any consumers who have an egg allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” FSANZ said.

“Consumers who have an egg allergy or intolerance should not consume this product.”

Last week FSANZ also recalled the Bibigo Mini Mandu Prawn Dumplings 270g due to the undeclared presence of egg.

The product was sold at Woolworths in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and WA.

Anyone who has purchased any of the four products can return them to the place of purchase or contact CJ Foods Australia for a full refund.
