NHL All-Star Skills Live Results: McDavid, Makar, Barzal lead final eight

With a revamped Skills Challenge for the 2024 All-Star Game in Toronto, featuring 12 players, eight events and a $1 million prize for the winner, some of the NHL’s brightest stars came ready to compete on Friday night.

The 12 competitors — Mathew Barzal, Leon Draisaitl, Quinn Hughes, Nikita Kucherov, Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, Auston Matthews, Connor McDavid, J.T. Miller, William Nylander, David Pastrnak and Elias Pettersson — will each compete in four of the first six events (Fastest Skater, One Timers, Passing, Hardest Shot, Stick Handling, Accuracy) before the top eight move on to the next round.

Those eight will participate in the One-on-One challenge, picking a goalie and trying to score. Then the top six will will compete in the final event, the Obstacle Challenge, where points are worth double.

At the end of it all, the sweet (and hefty) cash prize.

The first six events have wrapped up as we wait to see the top eight performers to battle in the One-on-One challenge. Connor McDavid leads the charge with 15 points, winning three events, followed closely by Cale Makar and Mathew Barzal with 11 points each.
