It comes after the brand’s parent company, Mondelēz Australia, launched the 50 per cent less sugar range in April, with its berry wave and tropical blast jellies.
Backed with a 4.5 health star rating, the Australian-made jellies have no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.
“We are excited to expand the Natural Confectionery Co. 50 per cent less sugar* range with the introduction of an all-time Aussie favourite, Snakes,” Mondelēz International vice president marketing Australia and New Zealand Ben Wicks said.
“This product brings one of Australia’s most loved lollies into a better-for-you option, serving the growing consumer interest in reduced sugar lollies, while still tasting great.”
The brand said the products had 50 per cent less sugar than the average amount present in leading candy jelly products.
The new Natural Confectionery Co. 50 per cent less sugar Snakes will be available at supermarkets nationwide for $5 from July.
