IKEA Australia has announced it will offer half price hot meals on Fridays, including its iconic Swedish meatballs.

The chain introduced Happy Days from February 23, where IKEA Family members can receive a 50 per cent discount on all hot meals at the 10 IKEA stores nationwide.

Customers can enjoy the discounted meals from 11am every Friday.

“From the iconic IKEA Swedish meatballs (including plant and veggie balls) to local fish and chips and chicken parmigiana, it’s never been a better time to visit an IKEA store,” the chain said.

Customers can sign up for IKEA Family for free on the website or via the IKEA app.

On top of the discount, customers can also snag a $25 voucher when they spend $100 or more at the Swedish restaurant, which they can redeem on the same day by presenting it at the checkouts when they buy home furnishing products in the store.

“At IKEA, affordability for the many people has been our lifelong commitment, not only with our home furnishings, but also with our iconic food range,” country food manager Matthew Taylor said.

“We know Aussies love our delicious Swedish menu, and we also know that the cost of living is hitting everyone close to home.

“By introducing 50 per cent off hot meals every Friday for our IKEA Family members, we ensure that our customers can come visit us no matter their budget to enjoy a meal with family or friends before or after browsing the showroom and picking up those items to make their home work better.

“It’s free to sign up, and it’s another reason to visit IKEA, whether you’re looking for a new BILLY bookcase or just digging in for some meatballs.”

IKEA’s 10 stores are located in Tempe, Marsden Park, Rhodes, Richmond, Springvale, Logan, North Lakes, Adelaide, Canberra and Perth.
