With New Year just around the corner, Coles has slashed the prices of its popular platters range just in time for celebrations.

Sydney friends Alex Hourigan and Sally McMullen shared the “lazy girls’ guide to hosting New Years celebrations” by ordering a pre-made grazing platter from the supermarket — with prices ranging from as little as $25 to $40.

The antipasto platters include a mix of assorted deli meats, cheeses, dips, marinated vegetables and crackers.

From now until January 2, shoppers can get a further 10 per cent off all platters when they order in stores, online or via app.

“New Year’s Eve hosting hack that will make your life so much easier,” Alex said on her Two Broke Chicks podcast’s Instagram.

“These pre-made platters means hosting is going to be an absolute breeze.

“They’re so yum and you can get them through the Coles app — just type in ‘deli platter’ and you’ll be able to take a scroll through and order whichever one you like.”

The platters are ready to pick up in stores or delivered to your home within 36 hours of placing the order.

“If you’re hosting New Year’s, make sure you host smarter, not harder,” Alex said.

The girls also recommended adding the $4 award-winning Hidden Gem Semillon Sauvignon Blanc to your cart.

“It got Sally’s tick of approval,” Alex added.

Their video has been viewed more than 170,000 times — with many customers raving about how much the platters have saved them time and money at their social events.

“Can confirm these are great! Used the Coles’ platters for my 30th! Way cheaper and stress free. Some of the cheeses full price are quite expensive so I think with the dips and cheese it’s 100 per cent cheaper — but also the convenience factor,” one said.

Another shared: “Did this for Christmas. Lifesaver — more time joining in activities and less time in the kitchen meal prepping.”

One revealed: “I got these for my wedding in between ceremony and reception! Such a good deal and they look great.”

Another added: “I love these platters — it’s the best.”
