Young motorcyclist fighting for life after crash in Frenchs Forest

A young man is fighting for life after crashing his motorcycle in Sydney’s north.

About 9.25pm on Saturday, police tried to stop a motorcyclist on Warringah Road at Frenchs Forest.

The man, aged 22, continued to ride, however, due to safety reasons no police pursuit was initiated.

A short time later, the motorcycle collided with a car on Sorlie Road at Frenchs Forest.

The rider was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the car, a man aged 63, and his passenger were not injured.

The driver was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established.

A critical incident investigation has been launched.

That investigation will be subject to an independent review.
