Woolworths customers have spoken out about a widespread Easter egg shortage with a popular Cadbury buy.
Shoppers across Australia have claimed that they’re having trouble purchasing Cadbury’s Mini Eggs less than a week out from Easter Sunday.

The popular eggs – which feature a speckled hard exterior with chocolate inside – have long been a favourite with many shoppers in the lead-up to Easter.
In one video, a Woolies and BIG W customer said she’d been to a five different stores and struggled to find packs of the Cadbury eggs.
“Guys, who has been buying all the Cadbury Mini Eggs?” the shopper, who uses the handle @abbeyfwebbers, said.
“I’ve been to, like, five different stores and I cannot find them anywhere.
“The only Easter chocolate that I actually like.”
Other Woolworths customers turned to the supermarket’s Facebook page to ask the same question.
“I’ve been looking but mini eggs seem to be in very short supply this year,” one said.
Another added: “I can’t find them either.”
A third wrote: “I’ve been looking everywhere and cannot find them.”
One more noted: “I found some at BIG W but they are really hard to find nowadays.”
Other social media users also commented on the nationwide shortage.
“You know back in January when you all complain that the Easter stock is out already? That’s when you buy it because stores only get an allocation and run out fast,” one claimed.
Another said: “OMG I have also been experiencing this. The STRUGGLE.”
A third added: “I’m in WA and literally cannot find them anywhere.”
One more responded: “I have been looking for weeks. Gone from every store, seems like a widespread shortage.”
Another added: “I searched high and low today! I couldn’t find them either.”
Earlier this year, Cadbury announced that it would be discontinuing Mini Eggs in the UK.
That news led some Woolworths shoppers to believe the same is happening on local shores.
“They’re not making them anymore! I’m so devastated! I’m assuming they only put out the last bit of stock they had left,” said one.
Another claimed: “Apparently they are discontinuing, I went to five shops yesterday and couldn’t find any. And then I asked a worker and they said they discontinuing so now it’s till stocks last.”
Cadbury responds
However a Cadbury spokesperson has confirmed to 7NEWS.com.au that Mini Eggs are still available in Australia and have not been discontinued.
“Our iconic Cadbury Mini Eggs range is a go to for many chocolate lovers during Easter, available via a range of retailers,” the spokesperson said.
“We’re happy to confirm our Cadbury Mini Eggs range will be included in the Easter 25 range ongoing in Australia.
