If there’s one vehicle that sums up the American people, it’s got to be the pickup truck, right? These humble machines carry around everything from camping kit and home-improvement supplies to the country’s hopes and dreams. But let’s be honest, they aren’t all particularly good-looking vehicles.
In fact, some might say that the pickup truck can be a pretty damn ugly vehicle. Just how ugly, I hear you ask? Well, that’s today’s question for you, dear Jalopnik reader. Today, we want to find out what you think is the ugliest pickup truck of all time.
Maybe you aren’t a fan of the weird styling of the first-generation Honda Ridgeline, with its distinctively noughties looks, odd angles and all-round strange vibes. Or, perhaps, you might be one of the select few who disagree with Elon Musk’s idea for a truck of the future. Then, you might take offense to the Cybertruck and its harsh angles and stainless steel looks that make it the worst four-legged creation to ever be built on these shores.
Personally, I think there’s one ugly truck to rule them all. One ugly truck that takes the pickup to its extreme awfulness thanks to its aggressive styling, over-the-top chrome trim and just general naff looks. This truck is, of course, the GMC Sierra HD. I hate that truck. Its flat front towers above most pedestrians, its shiny trim is gaudy and ridiculous, and it’s too freaking big for almost any practical application.
But that’s just my impassioned opinion about the ugliest truck of all time, what would you suggest? Head to the comment section below to let us know what you think is the ugliest pickup ever made and we’ll round up some of the top offenders in a slideshow next week.
