Western Bulldogs star Jack Macrae marries longtime partner Louisa Macleod in intimate ceremony

Western Bulldogs superstar Jack Macrae has tied the knot with longtime partner Louisa Macleod.

The couple exchanged vows at a private property in Yea, a small town north of Melbourne.

A host of Macrae’s current and former teammates attended the intimate ceremony, including captain Marcus Bontempelli and superstar forward Aaron Naughton.

Young brother Fin, who plays for Collingwood, was also there.

The pair met at a Melbourne nightclub and have been together for several years.

Macleod has been by Macrae’s side at numerous Brownlow Medals, dating back to 2017.

They got engaged at Mornington Peninsula winery Montalto in December 2022.

“Probably the only good thing to come out of a night at Seven Nightclub,” Macleod wrote at the time.

Macrae has been one of the Western Bulldogs’ best players since being drafted with pick No.6 in the 2012 draft.

The 29-year-old was a key member of the Dogs’ drought-breaking premiership in 2016 and has been an All-Australian three times.

He also won the 2021 Gary Ayres Award for best player in the finals series as voted by the coaches.

A prolific ball-winner, Macrae went an astonishing 70 straight games with at least 20 disposals before that streak was ended in Round 22 last year.

He had a relatively quiet season by his lofty standards and failed to poll a Brownlow vote for the first time since his debut year.

He and the Dogs will be looking to bounce back in 2024 after narrowly missing the finals last year.
