Two trapped in road-marking truck after crash with ute at Seven Hill intersection

A crash between a “road-marking truck” and a ute in Sydney trapped the two occupants of the truck in the wreckage on Friday morning.

The vehicles collided at the intersection of Old Windsor Rd and Abbott Rd at Seven Hills about 3.30am.

The male driver sustained fractures, and the female passenger was splashed by hot paint and “suffered burns” in the vehicle used for painting the roadway, NSW Police said.

Both were trapped in the truck wreckage for about 20 minutes and were freed by emergency services at 3.50am.

The driver of the ute was uninjured.

The truck was seen in the scrubland under the North-West T-way bridge as emergency services treated people in hi-vis clothing, in 7NEWS footage.

Four out of six northbound lanes of Old Windsor Rd are currently closed due to the emergency response, according to LiveTraffic NSW

“Motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible,” NSW Police said.
