Two men injured in violent home invasion in Glenfield

Two men have been injured in a violent home invasion in Sydney’s southwest, sparking an urgent police appeal for information.

Five men allegedly forced entry into a home on Gazelle St, Glenfield and assaulted a 44-year-old man inside with a firearm just before 10.30pm on Friday, January 12.

Another man, aged 60, who went to investigate the incident, was also struck with a firearm, police said.

Both men were treated by paramedics and were taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

The intruders left the home in two separate cars.

Detectives have since released CCTV of two cars, a silver Nissan X-Trail and a white Toyota Corolla, which were seen in the Glenfield area before the home invasion.

Police believe the men inside the cars may be able to assist with inquiries.
