Two men dead following horrific multi-vehicle crash on NSW Pacific Mwy near Wahroonga exit

A second man has died following a multi-vehicle crash on a major NSW highway earlier this week.

The head-on crash occurred on the Pacific Mwy about 2km north of the Wahroonga exit just before 4.40am on Monday.

Police said a vehicle travelling southbound collided with three vehicles that were travelling northbound.A 27-year-old man, the driver of one of the vehicles, died at the scene.

The 96-year-old man behind the wheel of the southbound vehicle was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.

He died in hospital on Wednesday night.

A truck driver, aged 35, was taken to Hornsby Hospital for mandatory testing.

Another driver, aged 39, was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with minor injuries and mandatory testing.

Police are investigating the crash and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
