Train hits car on crossing at Woy Woy station causing lengthy delays

A train has hit a car on the NSW Central Coast causing lengthy delays for commuters as train services are suspended.

A passenger train struck the car on the crossing at Rawson Rd in Woy Woy, not far from the Woy Woy station, about 6.30pm on Friday.

NSW Police said there have been no reports of any injuries.

Trains are not running between Hawkesbury River and Gosford in both directions.

Lengthy delays are expected.

Replacement buses are being organised for passengers.

Trains are still running between Hawkesbury River and Central and between Gosford and Newcastle Interchange.

“Please consider delaying non-essential travel or make your own travel arrangements,” Transport for NSW said.
