Toronto man, 21, wanted on firearm charges after east-end assault

A 21-year-old Toronto man is wanted by police following a firearm investigation in the city’s east end.

Toronto Police said that officers responded on Saturday at 5:53 p.m. to an assault call in the Greenwood Ave.-Gerrard St. E. area after two people got into an argument before the victim was allegedly assaulted with a firearm.

The assailant fled before police arrived, while the victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Izaih Shokoff, 21, is wanted for assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, weapons dangerous and other offences.

He is described as 5-foot-6 and 135 pounds with a thin build and brown, puffy hair.
