Four-year-old son of Blue Jays reliever Erik Swanson airlifted to hospital after being struck by car

The Toronto Blue Jays’ preseason had barely begun when the team was rocked by some scary news — the four-year-old son of reliever Erik Swanson was struck by a car in Clearwater, Fla., and was airlifted to hospital, Rob Longley reported from Dunedin.

Naturally, Swanson’s teammates and the rest of the club have been supportive, standing by the popular player and doing whatever they can to help him and his family deal with the trauma.

LILLEY: Trouble at Flair Airlines exposes Trudeau government’s massive incompetence

Discount airlines in Canada have struggled to survive with the latest, Lynx Airlines, announcing it was shutting down.

While Lynx official halted operations, Flair Airlines is paying a hefty price to carry on — but, shh, the Trudeau government doesn’t want to talk about.

According to Brian Lilley, the Trudeau government let more than $67 million in GST go uncollected from the start-up airline over the past several years and now they are looking to sweep the matter under the rug, claiming privacy concerns.

Lilley breaks down the events that began in November, when the Federal Court in Ottawa ordered all “real properties and immovables” of Flair Airlines be seized and sold to recoup $67,174,123 in back taxes.

But as for repaying a sum that large, it’s not clear how Flair will fare given that it is widely believed it is struggling.

‘Sopranos’ star Drea de Matteo pays off mortgage with OnlyFans cash

When Drea de Matteo joined OnlyFans, many questioned why.

But after nearly losing her home and down to her last $10, the Sopranos star did what she had to do and by signing up with the adults-only subscription site, de Matteo was able to pay off her mortgage in “five minutes,” Mark Daniell reported.

The actress, who lost work over her refusal to get the COVID-19 vaccine, didn’t want to join OnlyFans but she had run out of options after the bank threatened to take her home, all while she cared for elderly relatives.

KINSELLA: It’s time to go and Justin Trudeau knows it

The 40-year anniversary of Pierre Trudeau taking walk in the snow had just passed and many thought it could be Justin Trudeau’s time to also kick rocks and call it a day as prime minister of Canada.

As you know now, he didn’t — but that didn’t stop Warren Kinsella from writing about Trudeau’s inevitable departure as Liberal leader.

Noting that the polls continue to show the Trudeau government is getting creamed by Pierre Poilievre and the Tories, and the fact that he simply doesn’t look into the job, is evidence enough that he is going. Otherwise, he will lead the Liberal Party of Canada to its worst defeat in its history.

But one thing Kinsella failed to note is pride. Trudeau is too proud to throw in the towel and just hand it over to Poilievre. But even Trudeau knows his time is up.

NAKED AND UNAFRAID: Nude woman battles lady armed with spiked club

What’s more entertaining than two women fighting? How about two women fighting while one is naked and the other is wielding a club with the spikes at the end?

Well, that’s exactly what happened recently in Venice Beach, Calif., as two women battled it out, Denette Wilford reported.

The buck-naked woman pranced around the boardwalk while the woman who resembled a Walking Dead cosplayer in leggings chased her down, swinging her spiky club.

It’s unknown who started the scrap but surprisingly, the nude-y beauty called it quits after her clothed opponent walked away.
