It was only last week that it was announced comedy duo The Inspired Unemployed had taken up a job as ‘Chief Gummies Officers’ at Swisse Wellness.
But it turns out the stint in employment for the two larrikins was shortlived and only lasted until nightfall on April 1.
After a whirlwind three weeks, Matt Ford and Jack Steele announced their retirement on April Fool’s Day, bidding adieu to the corporate grind and “consciously uncoupling” with Swisse Wellness.

Being tasked with creating the newest edition to the Swisse Gummies range, the boys brainstormed various concepts including “Slay the Day”, “Anti Hangxiety” and “Emotional Support” Gummies, but when it came down to the final decision, Matt and Jack launched the Swisse Instant Rizz Gummies.
While the duo aimed to infuse their trademark creativity into the project, it became evident that the gummies did not meet Swisse’s rigorous standards and protocol for new product development.
Unlike Swisse’s other gummies products, renowned for their blend of fun and functionality, the Instant Rizz Gummies fell short of expectations and landed too far in the realm of “fun”.
This prompted the Inspired Unemployed to reflect on their role within the company and ultimately choose to step back from full-time employment.
“It turns out… Instant Rizz is way harder to bottle than we expected,” Jack Steele, former Chief Gummies Officer at Swisse Wellness, said.
“The team at Swisse really know what they’re doing when it comes to Gummies – and the current range already slays.”
Despite their departure, the duo remain on excellent terms with Swisse, hinting at future collaborations.
“We’re already working on an epic new project with Swisse, just not as a full-time gig,” said Matt.
Their departure, though unexpected, has left a lasting impression on the entire Swisse team and their legion of fans.
As they embark on their next adventures, one thing is certain, the laughter and lessons they leave behind will endure.
