Teenager charged with attempted murder after alleged Woolloomooloo road rage incident

A teenager has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged road rage incident in Sydney.

The 14-year-old boy was allegedly involved in an altercation at a home on Dowling St in Woolloomooloo, just before 9am on Saturday, 18 November.

Shortly after, he allegedly stole a car parked on the street.

He then allegedly accelerated at two people before driving off.

Police later found the stolen car abandoned on Windeyer St, Woolloomooloo.

A crime scene was established, and an investigation was launched.

A teenager, aged 14, was arrested in Woolloomooloo on Monday.

He was taken to Kings Cross Police Station, and was charged with attempt to murder (two counts), drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, negligent driving (no death or grievous bodily harm), not give particulars to other driver, take & drive conveyance w/o consent of owner, intentionally choke etc person without consent and steal motor vehicle.

He was refused bail to appear before a children’s court on Tuesday.
