Sydney Sweeney Cut Her Hair Even Shorter for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party — See Photo

Sydney Sweeney is toying with us. I’m convinced. After years of long hair, she surprised us last week by showing up at Paris Fashion Week with a piecey, textured lob that barely brushed her shoulders. And just two days later, she was spotted in New York City with long hair again, as if we’d all had a French fever dream (which would explain those heavily bedazzled bloomers). And then, at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, she switched things up again. It appears that she has not only cut her hair even shorter but has also darkened it, too.

Sweeney arrived at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, March 10 for the most famous Academy Awards afterparty wearing the same dreamy, cream-colored Marc Bouwer gown Angelina Jolie wore to the Oscars 20 years ago. She even wore similar necklaces, though the look distinctly deviates from Jolie’s when it comes to the hair.

The Euphoria star wore a modernized Old Hollywood bob, blown out in smooth waves. The ends flip under, hitting just below her chin, while her side part allows a shorter layer to undulate away from her face.

Stylist Glen Oropeza posted a video to Instagram revealing that it’s not an illusion; she definitely lost another inch or so right before the big event. He styled her with Kristin Ess Soft Volume Blow Dry Brush, and once the soft, smooth shape was achieved, he set it with Kerastase Laque Extrême hairspray.

But before any of this went down, Sweeney underwent a mini hair-color makeover, too. Colorist Jacob Schwartz used a combination of Schwarzkopf’s Igora Vibrance products to take her from blonde to bronde, leaving a few face-framing pieces lighter.
