Sabrina Ionescu scored or assisted on 16 of the Liberty’s 19 fourth-quarter points Tuesday night as her team took a 2-0 series lead over the Aces in the WNBA playoffs semifinals. The clutch heroics added to her overall game tally of 24 points, nine rebounds and five assists in New York’s 88-84 victory.
In the process, the sharpshooting guard became the only player in franchise history with multiple 20-point, five-rebound and five-assist games in the postseason, per ESPN Stats & Info.
While Ionescu has stuffed the stat sheet the entire playoff run, she’s done so more efficiently than any player in WNBA history. The fifth-year guard from Oregon has maintained impressive 53/42/93 shooting splits while leading her team in points (24.5), assists (6.0), 3PM (3.5) and steals (1.8).
