Roger Daltrey celebrates 80th birthday with specially brewed The Who beer | Music | Entertainment

The rock legend, who’s been performing since 1959 and delivered hits with The Who from My Generation to Pinball Wizard, celebrates his 80th birthday today.

Roger Daltrey was snapped holding up a specially brewed beer called Roger’s Pale Ale, in a photo shared on The Who’s official Instagram.

It was captioned: “What better way to mark your 80th birthday than having your own beer made by your family brewery!

“Please note: Roger’s beer is brewed especially for him on his birthday and is not for sale.”

Daltrey is the curator of the Teenage Cancer Trust and is concluding his term in the role with two The Who concerts.

The band will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday March 18 and Wednesday March 20 with an orchestra marking how the concert series began in 2000.

They’ll be joined by new wave rockers Squeeze, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary. To purchase tickets click here.
