“Congratulations you two!!” former reality star Georgia Love said.

Anna Heinrich, who competed on SAS Australia with Gilbert said, “Congratulations @locklangilbert @irena_srbinovska incredibly happy for you both!!”

Srbinovska, who met Gilbert on The Bachelor, took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal they had already brought Ava home.

Another Instagram story showed Ava meeting the family’s puppy Odi, writing, “Odi is obsessed with Ava”.

“I can’t wait to share more about the birth, it was nothing like I thought it would be … it was better.”

Locky also went on to share a short video summarising their hospital stay, joking they had checked into an “all-inclusive resort”.

“Best vacation ever, Irena enjoyed the hotel activities, made a new friend, all we did was eat and sleep, we will most likely catch up again soon. Would recommend, 5 stars,” he teased.

The new parents announced they were expecting a daughter in September 2023.

In a video to go with the update, the camera focuses on Gilbert standing on a beach, before he steps away to reveal his pregnant partner in the background, her hands on her baby belly.

“2023 has been a year of surprises, and now Locky and I are thrilled to share the biggest surprise of our lives — anticipating a new member in our family,” the pair wrote in a joint post.

“As we revel in our happiness, we’re deeply sensitive to those who face the trials of infertility or have suffered loss.

“Having navigated the rollercoaster of emotions ourselves, we extend our hands and hearts to those on a similar path.”

“In the midst of life’s storms, may you find your rainbow soon. 🌈

“Due early 2024 🍼.”

The couple met on The Bachelor and married in March last year.

Srbinovska had previously revealed that they had suffered two miscarriages in as many years, calling Gilbert her “absolute rock” during that time.

“We’ve been trying to get pregnant and try to start our family and we were absolutely over the moon when we found out we were pregnant last month,” Irena told 7Life last year.

“Unfortunately, a week later we suffered a miscarriage, and… it was emotional, hard and obviously heartbreaking.

“It was a very unfortunate experience and a sad time for us.”

She added, “I think that the hardest part was that we had told our parents and those closest to us the news,” Irena says. “And then we had to tell them obviously the bad news, so they were elated and then also devastated.”
