She suffered head and suspected spinal injuries, according to Queensland Ambulance Service.
It’s believed her injuries are not life-threatening.
Paramedics treated the driver of the Hyundai, a woman in her 20s, for chest, abdominal and suspected spinal injuries.
She was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The Queensland Police forensic crash unit is investigating.
The Greens are yet to publicly comment on the incident.
MacMahon is the member for the inner-city seat of South Brisbane after being elected in 2020.
State Opposition Leader David Crisafulli expressed his best wishes to his parliamentary colleague.
“We wish her a speedy recovery after this terrible accident,” he tweeted.
