PS Plus February 2024 free PS4 and PS5 games release date, time and final warning | Gaming | Entertainment

PlayStation Plus subscribers are counting down to the release of the February 2024 free PS4 and PS5 games. The next batch of PS Plus Essentials have a February 6 release date and an estimated 10am GMT UK launch time. You’ll be able to pick up the games until the morning of March 5. The new PlayStation Plus games will replace the current line-up, so consider this final warning to grab the likes of A Plague Tale: Requiem, Evil West and Nobody Saves the World.

The February 2024 line-up is headlined by new Square Enix multiplayer game Foamstars.

Taking a cue from Nintendo shooter Splatoon, Foamstars is a colourful multiplayer-focused action game.

“Introducing Foamstars, the new 4v4 online party shooter,” reads a Sony post. “Use foam to build terrain, creating slippery surfaces to surf around the arena at high speed, help defend from enemy attacks, or create vantage points to take out opponents from.

“Select from a quirky and colourful cast of athletes and compete across multiple game modes.”

Game modes include Smash The Star, Happy Bath Survival and Rubber Duck Party. The Rubber Duck Party mode sees teams fight for possession of a rubber duck found in the centre of the map. Climbing on the duck advances it towards your team’s goal, while dancing on its head makes it go faster.

Foamstars also contains a selection of solo missions, as well as unlockable rewards available as part of the Battle Pass.

Elsewhere, PlayStation Plus Essentials subscribers will be able to download Steelrising and Rollerdrome.

Rollerdrome is a unique third-person arena shooter developed by the team behind OlliOlli.

“In the brutal blood sport, Rollerdrome, gear up for visceral combat with fluid motion set in an evocative retrofuture.

“Dominate with style in this intense shooter-skater hybrid, where kills grant health and nailing tricks provide you with ammunition. Will you have what it takes to become the next Rollerdrome Champion?”

Finally, Steelrising is an action role-playing game set in an alternate history Paris. Featuring robotic antagonists, it’s not too dissimilar to last year’s Lies of P.
