Modibodi launches a teen period-proof collection ahead of school returning for 2024

Life doesn’t stop for teenagers heading back to school, even if they’ve just got their period.

After launching a globally successful absorbent apparel brand targeted at assisting women, and men, Modibodi has turned its attention to the younger generation to develop tailored underwear.

Created to help teenagers master that time of the month, the “Class of Confidence” collection introduces a new generation of teens and tweens to the world of period underwear in a class of its own, so they don’t need to be nervous.

With their super slim, absorbent lining, Modibodi’s new teen underwear and dancewear designs feature three layers of built-in technology, so teens don’t have to worry about staining school or sports uniforms.

The latest collection looks and feels just like normal underwear and dancewear so they can wear them at any time for that extra level of protection no matter the situation.

For further comfort, the brand’s designs are made with a range of soft, breathable fabrics including merino wool, organic cotton, bamboo and recycled nylon to keep teens feel fresh and dry.

Modibodi was founded by Kristy Chong, an Australian mum of four, who came up with the concept while training for a marathon in 2011.

While out running one day, she realised the main solution available to manage incontinence — which she was experiencing — was disposable hygiene products.

But she knew that these were both uncomfortable to run in and bad for the environment.

Puzzled by the fact there was nothing on the market to help her, Kristy set out to create an entirely new solution — and revolutionised the important retail category.

She launched with a small range of patented leak-proof underwear, and now the brand stocks swimwear, as well as products for men and children.
