McDonald’s Australia has launched four new menu items, including a never-before-seen dessert which has been described as a “game changer”.
Following on from the roaring success of last year’s Potato Scallops, Macca’s is bringing out Pineapple Fritters.
The new treat – described as “sweet and juicy pineapple covered in a crispy, golden crumbed coating” – will be available in all McDonald’s restaurants from January 10 for a limited time.

The Pineapple Fritters isn’t the only new dessert on the menu – McDonald’s is introducing the Pineapple Sundae, which consists of vanilla soft serve, pineapple sauce and pineapple chunks.
Macca’s is also launching the new McCrispy Bacon Deluxe burger for the first time, a fresh twist on its popular McCrispy burger.
It joins the Aussie Angus Deluxe, which is making a triumphant return to menus in 2024.
“Following the success of our Potato Scallops last summer, we are excited to be bringing you a new and exciting take on the ultimate snack item this year with the introduction of Pineapple Fritters,” McDonald’s Australia Marketing Director Samantha McLeod said.
“Whether you prefer your pineapple served warm or cold, we’re giving our Macca’s fans both this summer to put them to the taste test – we can’t wait to hear what our customers think.
“With an exciting new pineapple snack and dessert, as well as the latest burger spin and the return of an Aussie favourite, Macca’s is bringing the heat this summer with a menu that promises to deliver great taste and great quality, because nothing goes together better than Macca’s and the Aussie summer.”
The new summer menu items will be available across Macca’s restaurants nationwide, via the MyMacca’s app and McDelivery from 10 January, for a limited time only.
Due to popular demand, the Tim Tam McFlurry featuring Chocolate Soft Serve will continue to be available.

These new burgers and desserts will be available from January 10 for a limited time.
Aussie Angus Deluxe – 100 per cent Aussie Angus juicy beef patty, bacon, beetroot, tomato onion relish, aioli, Macca’s cheese, and fresh lettuce – served on a gourmet bun.
McCrispy Bacon Deluxe – Crispy, tender, and juicy 100% Aussie RSPCA Approved chicken, topped with shredded lettuce, Aussie Jack cheese, McCrispy signature sauce on a premium bun. “The addition of Bacon and a slice of fresh tomato take the McCrispy Bacon Deluxe to the next level,” McDonald’s says.
Pineapple Fritters – Sweet and juicy pineapple covered in a crispy, golden crumbed coating.
Pineapple Sundae – Creamy vanilla soft serve topped with a “deliciously sweet and fruity pineapple sauce with juicy pineapple chunks.”
Tim Tam Chocolate McFlurry – Deliciously creamy Chocolate Soft Serve with crunchy Tim Tam biscuit pieces and milk chocolate Tim Tam sauce.
