Man seriously injured, Kings Hwy partially closed after truck and car crash at Braidwood

A car and a truck were involved in a serious two-vehicle crash on an interstate highway between Canberra and Sydney’s south coast on Tuesday morning.

A man in his 50s sustained serious injuries, and traffic diversions were established as eastbound lanes on the Kings Hwy were closed.

The truck and car collided on the Kings Hwy at Braidwood, between Narranghi Rd and Cargills Ln about 8.45am.

Paramedics were called shortly after 9am and treated the man at the scene.

He was airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a serious condition.

The 57-year-old truck driver was uninjured.

“Eastbound lanes of the Kings Highway are closed, with local diversions in place,” NSW Police said.
