Man found seriously injured after road rage attack in Western Sydney

A man has been left seriously injured after a suspected road rage assault.

Police are looking for the driver of another car, which was displaying P-plates at the time of the attack, at Fairfield West.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of the Cumberland Hwy and Hamilton Rd at Fairfield West about 10pm on Thursday.

They found a 34-year-old man with serious leg injuries on the roadway, metres from his car.

“He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition,” NSW Police said.

A black Ford Ranger displaying P-plates was spotted in the area at the time, and police are urging the driver to assist them with an ongoing investigation.

NSW Police has urged any witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
