Man dies on Tamarama street in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, police launch investigation

The death of a man found lying severely injured on the road in Sydney’s eastern suburbs has sparked an investigation.

Emergency services were called to Fletcher St in Tamarama just after 4am Sunday after the man was discovered with critical injuries.

Police and paramedics were unable to revive the man and he died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene has been established and a police rescue tent has been placed in the middle of the road.

Drivers are advised to avoid Fletcher St between Glen and Silver streets.

The Crash Investigation Unit has been called in as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
