On Valentine’s Day, Joker movies director Todd Phillips shared new photos of Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga from the upcoming sequel Joker: Folie á Deux.
One excited fan commented on the social media post: “When is the trailer coming?????”
The DC filmmaker replied: “Been getting this question a lot. The movie comes out in October. So our first teaser won’t be out until mid April.”
And now the actual date the first look footage from the blockbuster musical will debut online has leaked.
According to Trailer Track: “Update: The first JOKER 2 trailer will be unveiled for everyone during the Warner Bros. #CinemaCon panel on April 9th. #Joker2… Also…not an April Fool’s Joke. Promise.
“We’re being told that an official trailer will debut online and additional footage will be screened during the panel.”
Cinema Con is an annual studio showcase of upcoming Hollywood movies with unseen trailers and star appearances expected at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from April 8-11.
Joker: Folie à Deux hits cinemas on October 4, 2024.
