Ford Australia has recalled the F-150 once again, this time due to a fault which means a total of 2020 examples of the pickup are non-compliant with local road rules.
The recall only affects long-wheelbase variants of the Ford F-150, which were built in the US between 2021 and 2023 but converted to right-hand drive in Australia last year.
“The vehicle may have been fitted with side direction indicator lamps that do not comply with the Australian Design Rule (ADR) 13/00 – Installation of Lighting and Light Signalling Devices on other than L-Group Vehicles,” the carmaker said in its recall notice.

“There is no safety hazard associated with this recall and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle. Vehicles are not compliant with ADR 13/00.”

Ford Australia says it will contact owners when parts become available to fix the fault, and affected vehicles will be repaired free of charge.

It’s the third recall for the right-hand drive converted F-150, following a stop-drive notice for a loss of steering control risk and a separate clock spring fault.
