Hotel guest accused of flooding room at Sheraton Grand Sydney in violent outburst

A guest at a Sydney hotel has been arrested after an alleged wild outburst on Friday morning.

The 35-year-old man allegedly flooded his room and smashed a window at the Sheraton Grand before becoming violent with hotel staff checking on his welfare.

Emergency services were called to the hotel on Elizabeth St in Sydney just before 8am.

“Police have been told a 35-year-old man, who was a guest at the hotel, allegedly smashed the hotel window and set off the fire alarm in his room, causing his floor to flood,” NSW Police said.

“Staff from the hotel went to check on the man’s welfare, before allegedly being hit by the man.”

He was arrested and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for assessment, as inquiries into the incident continue.
