The 2024 collection features four versions of the jersey (one for each All-Star team) in blue, red, yellow, and white.

The pop star, 29, and his Drew House fashion brand collaborated with Adidas and the NHL to design the jerseys that players will wear during All-Star Weekend in Toronto.

Featuring the NHL Shield in bubble letters across the front, the crest is one of the largest ever to adorn an NHL jersey at 22 inches high and spans the full width of the sweater. Players names will feature on the back in small letters using comic sans font.

All-Star Game

The collab comes after Bieber co-designed the Next Gen jerseys worn by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Brian Jennings, senior executive vice president of the NHL, said the jerseys’ “vibrant colours … are both youthful and classic and offer the perfect complement to the young NHL talent set to meet in Toronto for this year’s NHL All-Star Weekend.”

In a statement, Drew House said the line “was created to share joy and create a sense of community, which was our vision when designing the 2024 All-Star jerseys with the NHL and Adidas.”

But hockey fans were less than impressed with the design, with one Redditor declaring, “These look like Hardee’s and Carl’s Junior collaboration.”

“I was thinking some sort of Mac n Cheese,” another added.

“I’m typically an ugly jersey defender but these are an affront to humanity,” a third critic wrote, with a fourth begging Bieber to “leave hockey alone.”

On X, the jersey drew jeers, with one person dismissing them as “Doritos cool ranch and Cheese flavour” colours.

Still, some predicted that the outfit would prove to be popular with the Peaches singer’s legion of fans. “Watch: in 10 years, people will love these jerseys and want them back,” one fan wrote. And it seems that not everyone hates them. On the Real Sports website, most sizes were already sold out by Monday afternoon. I know because I tried to order one!

Bieber is a lifelong fan of hockey — and the Leafs.

In December, he and wife Hailey took in a Leafs game at Scotiabank Arena, where they were greeted with enthusiastic cheers.

Decked out in Maple Leafs gear, the 29-year-old pop star took to his Instagram to share photos from his night out, writing, “Had fun last night at the next gen game with the @mapleleafs.”

Bieber’s 292 million followers flooded the comments with warm wishes for the beaming couple. But Drake was disappointed he wasn’t asked to join the pair on their date night.

“Wow guy doesn’t even invite me to see some puck bunnies eh,” the Toronto rapper, 37, jokingly wrote.

Toronto will host the 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend from Feb. 1-3.  For full event information, visit NHL.com/AllStar.
