British reality TV star George Gilbey died from “traumatic” head and torso injuries after falling to his death from a height at work, an inquest has heard.
It is understood the 40-year-old fell through a plastic skylight and plummeted 10.6m at a warehouse in Essex, UK, about 10am on March 27.
His provisional cause of death was “traumatic injury to head and torso consistent with fall from height”.

The inquest was opened and closed by Essex senior coroner Lincoln Brookes during a hearing in Chelmsford.
The coroner’s officer Deborah Frost told the hearing on Monday that Gilbey was “working on a roof when he fell through a plastic skylight and landed on the ground below”, the BBC reported.
The former Gogglebox and Big Brother star died at the scene.
The post-mortem examination discovered that his head and torso injuries were in line with injuries from a fall of that height.
Brookes granted a written request from Essex police to suspend the inquest proceedings pending a criminal investigation.
The coroner said he would adjourn proceedings for four months, the BBC reported.
Following Gilbey’s death, Essex police confirmed they had made an arrest.
“As part of our ongoing investigation into the death … we have arrested a man in their 40s from the Witham area on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter,” Essex Police said.
“This is a joint investigation with the Health and Safety Executive and our inquiries are ongoing.”
He was later released by police under investigation.
Gilbey rose to fame on the second UK series of Gogglebox, making his 2013 debut alongside his mother Linda McGarry and stepfather Pete.

The TV personality has one daughter, Amelie Iris Gilbey, 7, with Gemma Conway.
