Which is why my eyes (and credit card) were primed this morning, when I spotted that Myer has slashed the price of a popular pair of New Balance sneakers thousands have left positive reviews for.
The 574 Nimbus Cloud Sneakers in Natural typically cost $160 on the Myer website, but they have until the 28 February been reduced in price by 25 per cent to just $120.

According to New Balance, the 574s were built to be a “reliable shoe that could do a lot of different things well”.
Featuring a low 2-4 centimetre height and 100 per cent recycled polyester vamp, collar and mesh, many who have bought the 574s say they are perfect for walking, commuting and as a fashion choice.
One five-star reviewer described them as “comfortable and stylish” on Myer.
Another said they are “comfy and cute”.
“Comfortable from the first moment I tried them on. Look good with jeans as well as with a dress. Not white but goes with all colours and stylish. I can walk in them all day,” one shopper wrote.
“I love these shoes. Comfy for all occasions but love them for casual wear. They look good and feel good,” another added.
They’re not the only New Balance shoes on sale at Myer right now either.
