About 2,400 km straight north up the I-95, the unfortunate Mr. Grissom was not on the agenda in Toronto on Tuesday when the BOLO program refreshed its list of superstars.

Taking the No. 11 spot was Deshawn Davis, 35, who is the last remaining suspect in the labyrinth-like Elnaz Hajtamiri kidnapping and murder investigation. Cops have conceded that Hajtamiri — age 37 when she was snatched from a relative’s home in Wasaga Beach — is almost certainly dead.

Now, the Toronto Sun has learned that U.S. Marshals also want Davis for the May 7, 2023, murder of Lo Grissom and the wounding of two women who took bullets but shimmied away from a one-way ticket to the morgue.

Grissom had been a local Miami rapper and a talent scout for Chris Brown Entertainment. He produced and coordinated artists such as Drake, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and Ray J.

According to cops, the slaying was connected to internecine street gang warfare. Grissom had been targeted for death.

Davis is also wanted in the brazen kidnapping of Hajtamiri, who was snatched on Jan. 12, 2022, when three men posing as cops and claiming to have a warrant for her arrest dragged her out of the Wasaga Beach home.

She was then shoved into a stolen white Lexus SUV. Hajtamiri has not been seen since.

The Iranian immigrant had fled to Wasaga Beach after she was attacked in the underground garage of her Richmond Hill condo in December 2021. But her respite from violence was but temporary.

OPP detectives have made at least 10 arrests in the kidnapping-murder. Cops say sitting atop the pyramid was her former boyfriend, Mohamad Lilo of Laval. He has been charged with first-degree murder.

Davis — believed to still be in the continental U.S. — now has a serious problem in the form of the United States Marshals Service (USMS).

Years ago in New York City, I saw the Marshals in action up close. On W. 47th St., just off Times Square, a fugitive who had murdered his wife and kids came strolling out of the Portland Hotel.

He decided to shoot it out with the Marshals and as the Bobby Fuller Four and later The Clash sang, he “fought the law and the law won.”

The Marshals say Davis slipped into the U.S. and headed to South Florida where he allegedly hooked up with a gang. The investigation into Davis has now been elevated to “major case” status, with a reward of up to $7,500 offered by the USMS for information leading to his arrest.

The USMS in the Southern District of Florida, along with the USMS Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force, has adopted the murder warrant issued by the Miami Beach Police and is collaborating with the USMS Investigative Operations Division Office of Canadian Affairs to locate Davis.

Back home, Davis hit the big time Tuesday as an honoured member of Canada’s 25 Most Wanted list, with a $100,000 reward offered jointly by the OPP and York Regional Police for information leading to Hajtamiri’s whereabouts.

He is 6 feet and 175 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and tattoos on his neck, forearms and chest.

No doubt Deshawn Davis will be coming home — whether in handcuffs or a wooden box, that will ultimately be his choice.

If you have information on Davis or his whereabouts, contact the OPP or the dedicated tip line at 1-833-728-3415, or the U.S. Marshals at 1-877-WANTED-2.

The charges against Davis have yet to be tested in court.
