A search is underway for a 12-year-old girl believed to be in the NSW city of Newcastle.
Kayleigh McCauley, 12, was last seen on Church St, Newcastle, about 11.40am on Saturday.
McCauley was reported missing when she could not be contacted.

“Police and family hold serious concerns for her welfare due to her age,” NSW Police said in a statement.
McCauley is about 150cm tall, with a thin build and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black and grey jumper, a black top, a white skirt, black and white shoes and carrying a black bum bag.
Police believe she is still in the Newcastle area.
