FBI trio renewed at CBS with original series scoring three-season deal

Dick Wolf’s Tuesday trio of FBI dramas will continue at CBS.

The network announced Tuesday that the original flagship series FBI has scored a three-season renewal, while its two spinoffs, FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International, will return for one more season at least this fall.

“The all-FBI Tuesday is a powerful force to be reckoned with on our primetime schedule,” CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement. “Dick Wolf and the talent in front of and behind the camera on all three series continue to deliver top-notch storytelling, riveting action and intrigue that has captivated a dedicated fan base steadily across multiple seasons. We are excited to see what next season holds for all these heroic characters.”

Added Wolf: “Obviously, I’m thrilled by the pickups.”

FBI stars Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Alana De La Garza, John Boyd and Katherine Renee Kane, while FBI: Most Wanted features Dylan McDermott, Shantel VanSanten, Roxy Sternberg, Keisha Castle-Hughes and Edwin Hodge.

FBI: International is led by Luke Kleintank, Carter Redwood, Vinessa Vidotto, Christina Wolfe and Eva-Jane Willis.

The news came after NBC announced it was renewing two of Wolf’s Law & Order shows as well as his One Chicago franchise next season.

The original Law & Order, which debuted in 1990, will be back for season 24, while SVU will return for its 26th season. The network has not announced the fate of the third spinoff in the universe – Law & Order: Organized Crime – which is in its fourth season.

NBC has also renewed its One Chicago trio of Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med for seasons 13, 12 and 10, respectively.

Elsewhere, CBS announced a straight-to-series order for NCIS: Origins, which will follow a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) as he starts his career as a newly minted special agent at the fledgling NCIS Camp Pendleton office.
