Bond has been set at $US150,000 ($A230,000) for Jamie Lee Komoroski, the woman charged with causing a DUI collision that killed a bride on her wedding night in South Carolina last April.
Samantha Miller, 34, of Charlotte, North Carolina, died when another vehicle hit the golf cart in which she was travelling at speed, propelling it almost 100m and causing it to roll, the Folly Beach Police Department said.
Still in her wedding dress, she died from blunt-force injuries sustained in the collision, according to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.

Her new husband, now widower, Aric Hutchinson sustained two broken legs and broken facial bones, among other injuries. Two other family members were also injured in the crash.
The bond for Komoroski was set on March 1.
In April 2023, Komoroski collided with the golf cart in Folly Beach.
Police determined Komoroski was driving 65mph (105km/h) in a 25mph (40km) zone and her blood alcohol level was three times over the legal limit.
Komoroski is charged with three counts of felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury or death and one count of reckless homicide. She has been held in custody at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Centre since April 2023.
At a hearing on August 1, 2023, Komoroski was denied bond because she was considered a flight risk. However, if the trial was not anticipated for March 2024, Komoroski would receive $150,000 bond with conditions.
When it was set on March 1, the $150,000 bond was consolidated to all of Komoroski’s charges.
According to court documents, Komoroski will be required to wear an electronic SCRAM monitor and will be under house arrest. She will only be permitted to leave her house for medical emergencies or as directed by prior court orders.
Komoroski must also maintain a residence is Charleston County, is prohibited from driving, and must surrender her passport, according to court documents.
“We have consistently asserted that Jamie is not a flight risk or danger to the community,” said Chris Gramiccioni, Komoroski’s attorney.
“She now looks forward to demonstrating her continued commitment to rehabilitation upon her pretrial release from detention.”
