Cyclist dies in suspected hit-and-run in Grenfell, NSW

A man has died after being found unconscious following a suspected hit-and-run in Central West NSW.

The cyclist, believed to be a 67-year-old man, was discovered unconscious at Henry Lawson Wy, Grenfell about 11.10am Monday.

He was treated by paramedics but could not be saved and died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

Police believe the man, who was wearing high visibility clothing, may have been injured after being hit by a car that failed to stop.

Crash Investigation Unit police are investigating and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
