'Crime Nation': How to watch The CW Network’s true-crime series

(NewsNation) — The CW Network’s new series “Crime Nation,” an anthology series focused on crime and justice, is set to debut Tuesday.

The 10-episode series will delve into real-life mysteries, cold cases and investigations. Each two-hour episode will feature new details and exclusive interviews from “ripped-from-the-headlines stories” such as the Idaho killings, the Lori Vallow Daybell case, the death of Gabby Petito and the Gilgo Beach killings.

“As the first true crime series in the history of The CW, ‘Crime Nation’ will provide a fresh new spin on the genre, giving viewers a deeper look into a variety of thrilling and compelling cases,” The CW’s head of unscripted programming Heather Olander said in a statement.

Tuesday’s series premiere, featuring NewsNation’s Brian Entin and Ashleigh Banfield, will examine the the death of two teenagers in Delphi, Indiana at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on The CW Network. On Feb. 13, 2017, Abby Williams and Libby German were killed while walking in the woods in Delphi.

“It’s been seven years since the murders, but when you take a step back and look at it and do a new investigation, sort of from like a 20,000-foot view, you realize that there quite possibly are some really serious issues with the investigation,” Entin said.

The CW is available over-the-air and on smart TV applications, as well as a smartphone app. Shows stream free the next day on The CW app.

Tuesday’s episode will feature an exclusive interview with the girlfriend of Ron Logan, the property owner of the land where Williams and German were found. He’s now deceased; however, he was once a person of interest in the case but was never charged.

Additionally, the series will dive into the world of social media by interviewing crime enthusiasts, social media sleuths, podcasters and digital detectives who have used their networks to help solve cases in some instances.

“The social media conversation around true crime is bigger than ever, and the ‘Crime Nation’ team will explore the relationship between the public narrative and official investigations for each case,” Olander said.

The series is executive-produced by James Goldston, Steven Baker, Mike Sheridan, John X. Kim and Kyle McCabe.

The CW is owned by Nexstar, NewsNation’s parent company.
