Colorado Avalanche to start Alexandar Georgiev in goal again for Game 2 vs. Winnipeg Jets

Two nights after allowing seven goals on 23 shots, Alexandar Georgiev will get the start in net again for the Avalanche for Game 2 of Colorado’s first-round playoff series in Winnipeg.

Head coach Jared Bednar confirmed the decision to media on Tuesday ahead of the game (9:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. CT on CBC and Sportsnet+).

Georgiev finished Game 1’s 7-6 defeat with a .696 save percentage, while in the opposing goal, Jets starter Connor Hellebuyck stopped 40 of 46 for an .870 stat line.
