AFL champion Dane Swan has begun life as a TV host.
The Brownlow medallist and Collingwood legend last week launched his new show, Taste Buds with Dane Swan.

The show is self-described as for “Finding great food in great places”.
“We step into the world of some of Australia’s best chefs and cooks,” it says.
Swan links up with former AFL greats like Anthony Koutoufides, Ang Christou and Dale Thomas, as well as social media comedy and food sensations, Sooshi Mango, to find some of Australia’s best feeds.
It’s already going gangbusters after its first week on air last Saturday, but Swan was typically self-deprecating about his new show when asked about it on The Front Bar.
“We’ve been lucky enough to be given (a) prime time (slot) straight off the bat: 1.30pm Saturday afternoons on 7mate — when everyone’s on the couch at home, I know,” he joked.
“That’ll be a Logie award-winning show, no doubt.”
Sam Pang hit Swan straight between the eyes with his thoughts on the venture.
“I just want to ask one question: what is that show about? Because it looks diabolical,” Pang laughed.
Unsure himself, Swan said: “I’m still not sure, and I filmed it all.”
Mick Molloy wasn’t convinced that Swan, who played 258 games for the Magpies, would get in the kitchen himself.
The 40-year-old assured Molloy that he would be “a little bit hands on”, but wouldn’t be drawn on what his signature dish will be.
“Just you wait and see,” Swan said.
