Coles supermarket has announced a new free giveaway for every customer in the lead-up to Christmas.
From today until Sunday, December 24, Coles shoppers nationwide can collect a free “reindeer carrot” for Santa’s loyal companions.
Customers can collect the freebies from a designated collection point when exiting their local Coles store, ready to leave out on Christmas Eve for Rudolph and his friends.

Five Aussie growers from across the country have donated more than 50 tonnes of Santa’s reindeers’ favourite snack — the equivalent weight of around eight African elephants — helping them to get the job done this Christmas Eve.
These special reindeer carrots are growers’ surplus stock and may be a little wonky or blemished, but are perfect for Santa’s team, and will help to reduce food waste in the lead up to Christmas.
Coles Business Category Manager for Vegetables, Jason Colosimo, said the supermarket was proud to offer this in-store initiative.
“At Coles, we believe in the magic of Christmas and the joy it brings to families, and our reindeer carrots is a small way of adding a touch of enchantment to the holiday season, making it memorable for both children and adults alike,” he said.
“This free giveaway is part of our commitment to community and to creating a positive experience for customers this Christmas.”
Reindeer carrots are 100 per cent Santa approved and are available from 10am Friday 22 December until stocks last.
