Chaos at Westfield as teenager in display car reverses into shoppers

Two people have been hit by a display car at a shopping centre in Sydney’s west.

A teenager was sitting inside the car when it lurched forward and smashed into a glass panel, before reversing into a Myer department store, hitting two people.

One man in his 50s was treated for minor head injuries and another man aged in his 30s was treated for chest injuries, police said.

Both were taken to hospital in a stable condition.

A 14-year-old boy was spoken to by police and allowed to leave with a relative. Inquiries are continuing.
