Canucks’ Joshua out vs. Red Wings, to be evaluated for upper-body injury

Vancouver Canucks forward Dakota Joshua will miss Thursday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings.

According to head coach Rick Tocchet, Joshua will be evaluated Thursday afternoon for an upper-body injury he suffered on Tuesday against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Joshua, 27, has a career-high 26 points (13 goals and 13 assists) in 53 games this season with the Canucks.

He recorded a goal and two assists in the game against the Blackhawks, completing a Gordie Howe hat trick with a fight as well.

Tocchet said he believes the injury is a result of the fight Joshua took part in with Blackhawks forward MacKenzie Entwistle.
