Boy dies following alleged stabbing at Narromine home in western NSW

A teenage boy has died following an alleged stabbing at a home in western NSW.

Emergency services attended a Narromine home about 9pm on Friday following reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, officers located a 16-year-old boy with stab injuries to his neck.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Dubbo Airport where he died.

Police established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident, later arresting a 26-year-old man at a nearby home.

He was taken to Dubbo Police Station where he is assisting police with their inquiries.
