Best new mascara for 2024: Trinny Woodall’s first mascara promises four times the volume for your lashes

She’s the British entrepreneur whose eponymous beauty brand is so successful it has outlets around the world.

And yet, 10 years into Trinny London, British beauty buff Trinny Woodall is only just getting around to launching her first standalone mascara.

While Trinny already stocks a dual-ended Lash2Brow with a mascara on one end and a tinted brow shaping gel on the other, this is her first separate mascara.

The new $34 Lash-2-Lash Mascara promises to give users four times the volume, but provide a lightweight mascara that’s suitable for everyday use.

“I wanted to develop a mascara that never clumps or drops, but delivers on length and volume,” Trinny told Best Picks.

Lash2Lash aims to make sure no eyelash is left behind in its curling and volumising, as the innovative tapered brush lifts, lengthens and separates every last lash.

Available in “Intense Black” on the Trinny London website and in Trinny London stores around Australia, the $34 mascara isn’t just a beauty product.

As with many of Trinny’s buys, it’s a multi-tasker, also using organic chestnut extract to condition the lashes with every swipe and keep your eyelashes looking shiny and feeling healthy.

“Our impactful black formula is weightless enough for everyday wear and transformative enough to stand up to a smoky eye,” Trinny says.

“The long-lasting formula washes away easily when you’re ready to remove it.”

Trinny herself demonstrated how effective the Lash2Lash Mascara is in an Instagram video shared on her personal page.

“Many of you know I wear lash extensions, but I had them all taken off last night so we can do Lash2Lash with my natural lashes,” she said in the clip.

And after applying the mascara on one side, she said: “Just look at the difference between that gorgeous, flirty lash and that little stunted friend!”

She continued: “Lash2Lash is our staggeringly easy-to-apply mascara, because I frankly have butterfingers so we had to make something that was foolproof.

It has this innovative tapered wand; it’s cone-shaped so it can cover every single lash.

“It has a clinically-proven formula and that gives you four times the volume.”

Trinny also shared her top tips for applying the mascara, revealing that she favours a two-step technique gleaned from make-up artists.

Rather than simply applying the mascara to the underside of her lashes, working from root to tip, Trinny begins by coating the top side of her lashes, stroking the wand downwards, before going to do the root-to-tip approach.

“It’s a super easy everyday essential!” she concluded.

Speaking previously to Best Picks in 2023, Trinny revealed the five key pillars of skincare she has prioritised since she was in her 20s.

“Every skin type, no matter whether it’s acne or inflammation-prone or has rosacea or psoriasis, can benefit from five things in particular: a really good cleanser, an exoliant, a vitamin C, a retinoid and SPF,” a radiating Trinny told Best Picks.

“Even if you have problem skin and rosacea, these items can be used in moderation.

“I’ve used them all my life.”
