More than 10,000 Australians have invested in a portable at-home sauna and ice bath “wellness pack” to take charge of their health.
VITAL+, which was was founded in March 2023 by Cameron Mehr and Tom Mansfield, plugged a hole in the market for at-home wellness products.

The kit comes with both the VITAL+ sauna, complete with the frame, chair, floor mat and a remote control, and an ice bath, with ice trays, a hand pump and a carry bag included.
The brand started when Cameron and Tom noted a surge in interest for cold therapy.
Existing options were either expensive or impractical, leading them to innovate with portable PVC ice baths and custom-designed silicon freezer ice trays for customers to produce ice conveniently at home.
The VITALICE Ice Bath Ultimate Starter Pack ($328) has been a huge success, capturing the attention of customers all over Australia and New Zealand.
Building upon their success, VITAL+ then introduced its second groundbreaking product: an innovative at-home portable sauna ($695).
Proponents of sauna therapy say it can aid sleep, enhance relaxation and stress reduction, improve cardiovascular health and muscle recovery and aid pain relief.
Existing saunas on the market either require a significant investment for a full installation or recurring expenses for membership fees at local recovery centres.

“But luckily along the way we’ve discovered tools that help manage our emotions and cope more effectively with stress.
“One of the many tools that we’ve picked up is deliberate cold exposure in the form of ice bathing and cold plunging. We want to share this practice, as well as others, with the world.”
Just like with saunas, shoppers are advised to consult their doctor before taking the plunge in an ice bath.
Those that have already done so have called the products “game-changing” for at-home wellness therapies.
