“What a beautiful and thoughtful gesture. God bless.”

Inside the card was a $50 note with the message: “Dear tenants, thank you for your support. May your Christmas be blessed with peace and joy and the new year even better.

“From the landlord.”

In the comments, many praised the landlord for the generous act saying it was “wonderful” and displayed the true meaning of Christmas.

“There are some landlords out there that are amazing,” one person wrote.

“That’s beautiful. What a kind person,” another said.

Landlords also chimed in sharing how they tried to give back to their tenants over the Christmas and new year period.

“Every Christmas we give a week’s worth of rent in gift vouchers to our tenants. They’re a family of five and great tenants,” one said.

“Being a landlord is absolutely a first world privilege.”

On the flip side, some tenants said their Christmas gift was a rent increase.

“You’re so lucky. I got another rent increase. Seems to be my annual Christmas gift now,” one person wrote.

“How nice, our landlord put the rent up $40 a week for us for Christmas,” another said.

The Facebook post racked up 4600 likes and more than 100 comments.
