A beloved Australian biscuit is currently missing from shelves — though its manufacturer has rushed to assure consumers it is only a temporary issue.

Eagle-eyed shoppers noticed the absence of Arnott’s Nice biscuits in stores, taking to social media to question whether they were quietly being discontinued.

A gap in supermarket shelves has been spotted at major supermarkets such as Coles, Woolworths and IGA.

However, the iconic biscuit manufacturer has reassured consumers that supply of the beloved treat is simply experiencing a delay and the product was not going anywhere.

“Our delicious Arnott’s Nice biscuits are experiencing a temporary supply delay and should be back on the shelf in the next few weeks,” an Arnott’s spokesperson said.

The biscuits can still be found in Arnott’s family favourites packs, which include the Milk Coffee, Teddy Bear, Choc Ripple, Scotch Finger, Butternut Snap, Milk Arrowroot and Nice biscuits.
